Glacial Tongue Panorama - 12" x 36" - Metal Print
Satin Finish on Aluminum sheet with floating back mount. The glacial tongue of Skaftafell Glacier in Southern Iceland. The is a stitched panorama made from 4 individual photos. The sheer scope of the scene absolutely required a very wide panoramic photograph.
Taken after a lovely golden hour hike, the viewpoint on the trail, called Sjónarnípa. With the sun setting, I was not able to continue the trail deeper along Skaftafell, and turned back to head out of the National Park. I’ve never quite felt as powerful wind as I did perched on that cliff edge, but it was well worth enduring for the view, and I hope to someday soon get back and complete the entire Skaftafellsheið hike of 16.7km)
36” wide by 12” tall. Includes mounting hardware. Shipping costs are factored into pricing.
Limited to 50 prints. Includes numbered & signed badge on the back of the image.

I was not joking about the wind. I am not a small human and was frequently staggered by it! It took a lot pressing down on the tripod to keep things steady for these four shots.
